The 2024 Riesling Loibenberg, from higher-altitude parcels of this site, is slightly subdued on the nose and gives gentle cypress notes. With air, it reveals citrus charm wrapped in slight creaminess. The palate is both creamy and taut, enticingly and seductively so. Effortless charm fills a smooth palate.
The extremely intense oolong tea, nectarine and mango skin aromas pull you into this compact and juicy, medium-bodied wine. Quite some power, but the zesty acidity makes it feel a bit lighter than it really is. Some creaminess and a slew of black tea character in the very long, structured finish. Although this is showing well already, it will gain a lot through further bottle maturation. From organically grown grapes. Vegan. Drink or hold.
