A classic Barolo in the sense that it comes from a diversity of sites in the villages of La Morra, Serralunga d’Alba and Castiglione Falletto. It is made in a relatively approachable style without sacrificing proper Barolo depth. There is exuberance to the red berry and sweet spice nose. Cherry, pepper and mace reverberate on the palate. Surprisingly grippy and firm, the structure sneaks up and demands more time in bottle. A minerally finish is promising. Great value, especially for mid-term ageing.
