Côte Rôtie Blonde du Seigneur, Georges/Christine Vernay 2021

Tasting Notes

A very elegant and cool Cote-Rotie with excellent mineral freshness on the sleek, medium-bodied palate. Long, crisp finish with plenty of wet stone character, plus nuances of spices and licorice. From two hectares of vineyards on granitic terraces at the southern tip of the appellation. Most of the grapes were destemmed, but those that went into the bottom of the fermenter were not. Bottled in July 2023 after maturing in a mix of barriques and foudres. Drink or hold.
