Tasting Notes

A green fruit and oyster shell infused nose leads to lemon and saline-tinted middle weight flavors that possess a clean, dry and saline finish. This should be very good for its level.

Musky but precise aromas of minerals and apple. Ripe and sweet, with apple and spice flavors nicely framed by harmonious acidity. There's solid backbone here but also an almost exotic finishing note of banana. My favorite of the three village wines I saw today. This is still on its lees, in stainless steel.

Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar, July 2010

"...his 2009 Chablis collection will be his largest-ever both in volume and diversity as well as, in his opinion, among his best. (Indeed, those 2009 wines were displaying a dimension of minerality and degree of nuance as well as vivacity from cask and tank in April that few of their vintage appeared likely to equal."

David Schildknecht, Wine Advocate (191), October 2010

This mineral-infused Chablis is made from grapes sourced from the village of Fontenay near the Premier Cru vineyards Cote de Lechet and Fourchaumes. No oak was used in the production of this classic Chablis with fermentations in stainless steel and ageing on the lees without batonage. A light, green-tinged colour. Lovely fresh nose with great vitality and zing. Focussed, pure, very mineral and steely with some citrus notes. Fresh as a daisy. Great value benchmark Chablis.
