Interestingly, compared to most 2011 reds today, this is still somewhat aromatically timid if extremely pretty with its intensely spicy nose that features notes of ripe but cool black pinot fruit and plenty of floral influence in the form of violet and lavender scents. I very much like the sense of energy emitted by the equally intense medium-bodied flavors that possess good muscle and evident mineralitly on the sappy andd wonderfully long finish. In my view, this is still on the way up though it's not so backward that it couldn't be enjoyed now. Lovely and understated and very Dujac in style. Try from 2026+
An intensely spicy nose features notes of ripe black pinot fruit and plenty of floral influence in the form of violet and lavender scents. As would be expected this possesses plenty of size and weight with excellent mid-palate concentration, all wrapped in a powerful, palate coating and wonderfully long finish. This is a serious wine that will need at least 10 to 12 years to be approachable. Drink 2026+

Somewhat surprisingly given the usual Malconsorts trait of being quite inexpressive young, this is even spicier than the Beaux Monts with its slightly riper and darker fruit profile. On the other hand, as would be expected this is notably bigger, richer and more concentrated with an opulent mid-palate to the markedly muscular full-bodied flavors that possess impressive amounts of structure-buffering dry extract on the strikingly long finish. This is quite firm without being hard and this will need at least 15 years to arrive at its peak.
