Chassagne Montrachet Morgeots, Bernard Moreau 2020

Tasting Notes

And the best bottling of Morgeot in the village of Chassagne? It is excellent in 2020. The bouquet is youthful, but still perfectly delineated already and flat out beautiful, offering up scents of lemon, pear, a complex base of chalky soil tones, beeswax, white lilies, lemon blossoms and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and zesty, with a lovely core, gorgeous soil signature, tangy acids and laser-like focus on the long, seamlessly balanced and electric finish. A stunning bottle in the making. 2026-2065.
