Light lemon with a faint green reflection. The bouquet is just ludicrously wonderful. Nothing floral, plenty of fruit but also some other autumnal aromatics, now some eau de vie de poire, keeps changing every few seconds, Just smile and laugh when you smell it. Eventually I can find it in myself to taste it. Ultra-concentration of fresh nectarine, spliced with apples, great acidity, 13.8% but carrying it lightly such is the concentration of fruit. A wine to eat as much as drink. Breath-taking doesn’t do it justice. “I think it is my best” confides Arnaud. I have never seen this consistently great wine as expressive before.
