Maximin Grunhauser Bruderberg Kabinett, Maximin Grünhaus - Weingut der Familie von Schubert 2018

This wine is testament to the enduring quality of great vineyards: wine has been made here since at least the 8th century. Dr Clemens Schubert has managed to capture something exquisite here, with an early harvest for a Kabinett style that makes the senses swirl. Fermented spontaneously in 1,000l fuder after short skin-contact of two to three hours, this shows almost unbearable lightness filled to the brim with the most intense expressions of peach and tangerine, blood orange and mango. All this pristine, sweet fruit and all this chiselled freshness. Quite simply a marvel. (Drink between 2019-2049)
