Bernadotte’s well-made 2004 exhibits a deep ruby/plum/purple color as well as elegant cranberry, black cherry, and currant notes, good acidity, and a spicy, fresh, invigorating finish. Not a big wine, it displays a style completely different from the 2003. Drink it during its first decade of life.
This is grapey and straightforward, with good fruit and medium tannins.
Crimson with smudgy rim. Quite silky nose and a sweet, sleek start but without much concentration. Well managed tannins but light and with some greenness on the finish. Very pointed palate. And extremely dry sandy tannins, even though quite fine. Respectable but not exciting. Made by the Pichon Lalande team.
