Chambolle Musigny, Domaine Georges & Christophe Roumier 2017

Tasting Notes

Lovely aromas of cherries, orange rind and candied peel mingle with savory bass notes in an expressive bouquet to introduce Roumier's 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Village, a medium to full-bodied, ample wine that has gained in fleshy and texture since I tasted it in the spring but has retained its succulent, melting profile. It's an immensely charming Chambolle.

Medium purple, the nose is quieter than the Bourgogne, the fruit a touch darker and with exceptional richness for this vintage towards the back of the palate. Very juicy yet also enlivened by the whole bunch component. Dark fruit, dried flowers, very long.
