The canicules had more of an effect here. The Grands Echezeaux shot through to 14.7% while the other vineyards did not accelerate so fast. A deep purple with no black. The nose however does have a touch of 2020 about it, sun-dried cherries, sucrosity in the mouth then a tighter sterner finish. In another cellar this would be unremarkable but it stands out more here in view of the elegance of the usual Anne Gros style. Drink from 2030-2037.
