The part of Aux Etelois which is kept for this cuvée, the finger that sticks into Griotte-Chambertin, usually makes one barrel but in 2023 they were able to produce one 400-litrre egg and three barrels. Rich bright purple. The usual class on the nose from this not quite Griotte. Smoother, more harmonious, perhaps less tension at the back, but a lovely long raspberry and strawberry finish.
