Plenty of ripe and dried strawberries with a slate and metal-shavings undertone on the nose and palate. Medium-bodied, it has soft and exquisite tannins and a long and caressing finish. One of the best pinot noirs I have had from Cloudy Bay. Drink now or hold.
A big, flamboyant pinot that's just starting to show some some bottle development. Rich and intense with a dense core of soft summer fruits, there is masses of concentration. The palate softly textured with silken tannins. Polished and confident. Alcohol 13.50%. Drink from 2025-2031.
