This too is firmly reduced and aromatically unreadable today. Once again there is excellent volume to the exceptionally rich and beautifully concentrated flavors that possess first-rate power and punch while exhibiting strikingly good persistence on the impressively deep and balanced finish. This overtly robust and muscular effort is clearly built-to-age and is going to need at least a decade's worth. This too is excellent. Note: from young vines in Les Treux that were planted in 2001 and typically produce about two barrels or 600 bottles annually; 20% whole cluster
Felettig’s Echezeaux is complex and brooding, opening to reveal notes of spice, wood smoke, red and black fruits and orange rind. On the palate, the wine is broad, full-bodied and ample, structured around rich tannins but underpinned by a good line of acidity which keeps the wine tense. This will need time but it is very promising. 2027 - 2047
