Chambolle Musigny Beaux Bruns, Thibault Liger Belair 2023

Tasting Notes

Three barrels made, vinified with 30% whole bunches in a small wooden vat. Made in exactly the same way as Fouchères, but Beaux Bruns is more in raspberry mode, and slightly denser, there being more clay in the soil here. Certainly there is greater intensity on the palate, and with a good follow through at the finish, so in some ways more impressive but I like the ethereal Fouchères just about as much. Thibault expects this to refine further with longer elevage. Drink from 2029-2035. Tasted Nov 2024.
