The 2014 Scharzhofberger Riesling Spätlese #5 is very clear, deep and fresh in its mineral expression that intertwines the flinty Scharzhofberger terroir flavors with white stone fruit aromas. This is piquant and extremely well focused Riesling from one of the greatest Riesling terroirs on planet wine. The solidity and mineral complexity of the Spätlese #5 is remarkable. A great wine!

A touch of pineapple adds a smoothing side on the palate, with still rather firm acidity providing the right focus and precision.
