Medium green-yellow. Intense smoky flint and pepper aromas currently dominate ripe apple, mango and tarragon. Juicy and complex in the mouth, with a tightly wound core of peppered apricot fruit. Firm acids and minerality lend this multilayered wine a superb framework. Finishes with striking intensity and palate-saturating persistence. This should gain in complexity in bottle for many years. Drink 2010 to 2022.
