The 2015 Morgon is similarly superb, offering up a stunning bouquet of violets, crushed cassis, wild plums and potpourri. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, immensely layered and three-dimensional, allying its considerable concentration with equally remarkable energy and tension. Duperray said that he macerated the wine on the skins for a mere ten days, simply wetting the cap throughout, to avoid producing too chunky a wine with 2015's prodigious raw materials.
