Bottled three days ago. Mostly from 1964, on white soil with some silt. Rich powerful purple, this is one of the riper style noses, but in peony and ripe raspberry rather than overdone cherry. Some darker fruits here, not quite together but with a lot of promise. A light astringency at the back. A cautious score today but may well deserve more when it has settled down.
