The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Village exhibits aromas of sweet red berries, plums, spices and peonies, followed by a medium-bodied, taut and penetrating palate, with a pretty core of fruit and a bright spine of acidity, emphasizing tension over texture.
Middling purple, while the nose is rather reticent. Mostly dark raspberry, maybe a bit of cherry. There is certainly more density than the Fils & Père version, a lifted dark red fruit at the finish with very good fruit acid balance. Drink from 2025-2029. Tasted: December 2022.
