This bottling is selected from the 1949 vines in Echezeaux du Dessus, leaving enough fruit so as not to denature the regular Echezeaux bottling.. A bright and even crimson. The fruit has a concentration that takes the oak out of the equation, and notably more density at the back, followed by the peppery tingle of the stems. Quite a different wine, more backward, will probably need longer to come round and does deliver a fraction more intensity. Drink from 2030.
