Bright ruby in the glass with juicy, peppery fruit on the nose which offers layers of strawberry tart and crunchy red berries. The palate is slick, with moreish red fruit spilling over the frame of pithy, fresh tannins. Lightly salty, bright in acids and really appetising, this is Pinot you just want to drink. There's a little grip here, it feels like a wine that could age quite nicely for a decade or so - but the poise and pure joy of fruit makes is dissarmingly approachable now. Excellent value, again, from Fornerol.
