La Roche des Demoiselles, Louis Jadot 2022

Tasting Notes

Since 1913 Louis Jadot and Louis Latour have jointly owned the 28 Ouvrees Chevalier Montrachet Les Demioiselles Grand Cru vineyard. The vineyard is very rocky , particularly in the middle of it. When clearing the vineyard for planting they piled a lot of stones in the middle of the vineyard and these 4 Ouvrees under the stones were never planted and therefore never classified as Grand Cru.

In 2000 Jadot and Latour removed the stones and in 2012 Louis Jadot planted their portion of this ground. Since 2015 they have been producing a tiny quantity under the La Roche des Demoiselles label. Please see the attached information sheet. The wines has to be labelled Vin de Table !

2015 was the first vintage.
