Hermitage La Chapelle, Domaine Paul Jaboulet Aine 2023

Tasting Notes

Black raspberries, currants, smoky herbs, pepper, and some meaty nuances, as well as that classic floral character, all shine in the 2023 Hermitage La Chapelle, a beautiful, classic La Chapelle. It's medium to full-bodied, has a layered, seamless mouthfeel, beautiful tannins, solid mid-palate depth, and a great finish. It doesn't match the all-time greats, but it's certainly in the upper tier of La Chapelle in the past 20 years. Give bottles 4-5 years and enjoy over the following 20-30. Drink 2030-2060.
