An intensely floral-suffused nose speaks of carnation, rose petal, acacia and lilac with additional notes of Granny Smith apples, anise and a whiff of Asian style tea. There is outstanding volume to the decidedly rich yet beautifully tension-filled flavors that display excellent minerality on the bone-dry and hugely long finish that is impeccably well-balanced. This tightly wound effort should be approachable after 5-ish years but should also be more than capable of improving over the next 10 to 12 years. This too is quite simply terrific.
