Chambolle Musigny Feusselottes, Cecile Tremblay 2015

Tasting Notes

The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes has quite a high-toned bouquet with scents of Indian ink tincturing the blueberry and raspberry fruit. This is the most ostentatious of aromatic profiles produced by Cécile Tremblay in this vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit and suggests good substance and weight in the mouth, though I would like a little more mineralité and tension to manifest on the finish. I am probably being parsimonious with my score here, though it is a reflection of how I think some of the domaine's other crus have more long-term potential.
