The 2014 Chambolle-Musigny les Cabots has an intriguing and complex bouquet. There is a faint tincture of wet clay interwoven through the black and red fruit. There is a touch of wilted violets here with a touch of orange blossom developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin and well judged acidity. It is nicely structured, perhaps even understated with a touch of bitter cherry on the structured finish. I sense this might close down after bottling and come back after several years.
