Chassagne Montrachet Caillerets, Domaine Ramonet 2020

There is a vague whisper of the exotic on the petrol-suffused aromas of white peach, passion fruit, citrus confit and floral whiffs that are trimmed in subtle but perceptible wood. The refined, punchy and solidly concentrated medium weight flavors coat the palate with dry extract while displaying excellent persistence on the balanced, youthfully austere, stony and tightly wound finale. This stylish effort has the stuffing to age effortlessly and, at present at least, is slightly more complex than the Clos du Caillerets.
