The larger production 2020 Côte Rôtie Brune Et Blonde is a winner, and readers could do much worse than a case of this in the cellar. Ripe black raspberries, spring flowers, smoke, and some meaty nuances all shine here, and it hits the palate with medium-bodied richness, fine tannins, and ample charm and character. Enjoy bottles over the coming 10-12 years or so.
Seductive, smoky notes of grilled bacon, ripe cherries and blueberries emerge on the nose of the 2020 Cote Rotie Brune et Blonde. Full-bodied and reasonably concentrated, it finishes with an elegant wash of silky tannins. It appears reasonably forward and should be approachable soon after release.
Leading off the Côte Rôties, the 2020 Côte Rôtie Brune Et Blonde has a darker ruby hue to go with terrific cassis and black raspberry fruits supported by classic Côte Rôtie spice, dried meats, and floral nuances. It's medium to full-bodied, balanced, has ripe tannins, and a fruit-forward style not far off the 2018.
