Here too there is just enough reduction present to merit mentioning and it has a similar effect of pushing the aromas of the essence of acacia, spiced pear, oyster shell, iodine and pungent tidal pool character to the background. On the palate the imposingly-scaled and impressively rich flavors also brim with sappy dry extract as well an almost aggressive minerality on the compact, powerful and driving finale that is serious and unbelievably persistent yet not especially austere. This too is very much a 'buy and forget you own it' wine. This is quite simply stunningly good. (Drink starting 2037)
