The 2023 Côte-Rôtie La Sereine Noire opens with pronounced black plum, graphite dust, cedar, and black cherry, accompanied by fleshy nuances. Full-bodied, with elevated flavor concentration neatly wrapped around fine-grained tannins, the palate adds flavors of clove and cedar. Dense, savory and superbly balanced, the 2023 is a serious La Sereine Noire that will benefit from at least two more years in a cool cellar. Finishes long and utterly refined.
