A dense and layered white that’s mostly from Mendoza (Wente clone). It’s full-bodied but not heavy, with excellent phenolic intensity. Long and powerful. Just a hint of creaminess. Flavorful finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
The 2024 Chardonnay Block 6 is very complete. Firm and floral, this has more girth and expanse than Felton's Block 2, but it doesn't want for natural acidity. The 2024 is ripe but not lavish, with excellent clarity of fruit, precision and tension. Subtle nutty oak and lees-derived pastry notes linger.
