A gentle application of oak melds with spicy, airy, notably cool and refined aromas of black pinot fruit and plum that are in keeping with the rich, delicious and sophisticated medium-bodied flavors that possess very fine tannins while culminating in a beautifully balanced, complex and lingering finish. This is an outstanding villages.
The Vosne Romanée is very pure and "joyful" on the nose with vivacious, red berries infused with vanillary new oak. The palate is rounded and very smooth on the entry, a little low in acidity with a succulent, sensual finish. Very fine. Tasted January 2012.
